Enjoy the Top of the Lake Recreational Activities

We are central to many outdoor activities in the great Upper Peninsula. We have great activities all year long. You can find so much to see in do in this unique nature filled area.

The Hiawatha Sportsman's Club Golf Course of Naubinway invites the public to come and enjoy their Golf Course & Pro Shop! Members and guests can enjoy their beautiful 9 hole golf course. Complete with, breathtaking views, large water pond, and power carts, guests are sure to have a great time on the greens!
Sailboat Boating is a favorite past-time for many visitors and community members. There are many inland lakes to choose from as well as the great Lake Michigan. The Naubinway Marina offers a park, boat launch, and dockage for visiting vessels. Come visit the Top of the Lake and explore Lake Michigan with us!

Fishing the "Top of the Lake" Spectacular fishing opportunities are found here in a fisher man’s paradise! You can fish Lake Michigan along with nearby rivers and streams. Enjoy fishing for King Salmon, Trout, Perch, Walleye, Pike and more!  You can also purchase fresh caught and smoked fish daily throughout the summer in Naubinway. Commercial fishing still exists in the area and plays an important role in the community.
Color Tours! Our area has beautiful colors during the peak fall season. Especially colorful would be the Cut River Bridge area and the Mill Pond Park in Engadine! Fall Colors

Snowmobiling at the Top of the Lake is a great way for friends and family to enjoy the great outdoors during the winter months! Our snowmobile trails lead through deep forests with beautiful scenery and are central to trails that lead in every direction to the Upper Peninsula and beyond!

Antique & Vintage Snowmobile Show! Come to the Top of the Lake for a great annual event – The West Mackinac’s very own Antique/Vintage Snowmobile Show.

This year's event promises to be better than ever! This occasion is fun for the entire family and is endorsed by the Antique and Vintage Snowmobile Club of America. Please come & join us the third weekend in February for this great annual snowmobile event! Enjoy breakfast and a antique snowmobile ride through wooded area trails! This is a two day event with sleds on display, food booths, swap area, and raffles. Every year we feature a special sled and hold a banquet at the Garfield Township Hall in Engadine.

Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum in Naubinway
Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum opened in downtown Naubinway on July 4th, 2007 to rave reviews. This museum displays snowmobiles dating back to the beginning of the sport. Numerous one of a kind machines, rear-engine, and race sleds. Great family fun. Antique Snowmobile Museum Addition Set for Summer 2016
The Top of The Lake Snowmobile Museum, LLC has incorporated as a 501©-3 corporation. The sponsoring group is hard at work organizing this new venture. Their goal is to preserve the history of snowmobiling and help make the Naubinway area a tourist destination.
The site is located in Naubinway on the north side of US-2 across from the business district. The planned addition will include added display space for up to 50 snowmobiles, parking for 50+ vehicles, and a snowmobile literature library. The museum board is currently seeking funds to construct this addition and is accepting all donations.
